I was born and raised in a small town – Clarksdale, Mississippi. Simple, family oriented living where everyone in the community knew each other and supported each other. I stayed close to home for college at the University of Mississippi then decided to move to the big city of Atlanta for medical school and pediatric residency at Emory University. I joined Gwinnett Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in 2010, where I have been privileged to practice pediatrics in the best group in the entire state of Georgia!
In 2006 I married my high school sweetheart and in 2014 we welcomed our son, CJ to the world. The transition from wife to wife and mother totally rocked my world and changed how I approached being a pediatrician. In 2017, our daughter Jasmine was born. Now we are the Washington Four and I am learning something new about myself, my family and my work every single day. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and learning with me!
